Why We Offer This Class
There is an abundance of information on sleep that is available in books, blogs, videos, and other medium. It can be overwhelming and confusing. Additionally, most new parents are concerned with getting the nursery or their bedroom prepared, clothes on hand, schedules adjusted, choosing the setting of the birth, all in addition to just wrapping their minds around what it means to them to welcome a new life into their arms. Researching and deciding on a plan for sleep is often the topic of parenthood that is placed on the shelf until it becomes a problem. We created this class to address this need by giving parents specific tools to settle their infant, develop a plan, and prepare for the transitions their new baby will make as she develops. The key topics of the class are listed below:
Elements of Prenatal Infant Sleep Classes
- Learn how to extend the comfort of the womb to your baby after childbirth.
- Understand your infant’s sleep cycles and needs.
- Tailor your settling techniques to your baby’s developmental ability.
- Discover patterns babies follow and how to respond to maximize sleep.
- Explore the benefits and drawbacks of different sleeping arrangements.
- Discuss the essential elements of a supportive sleep environment.
- Gain an appreciation of your baby’s sleep milestones and how to support their natural development and more!
Our Goal is to help parents better understand their child’s natural ability to sleep and provide tools they can use to support their Little One’s Sleep. We offer individual in-home meetings and group classes to expecting families who would like to prepare for sleep ahead of time, as well as support those who are experiencing difficulty post birth. We believe that with knowledge and support, families can get far more sleep than they otherwise would!
